Select Type of Wood/Stick:

Hickory - Strong, durable wood able to withstand the most strenuous conditions. Unparalleled strength has made it a wood of choice for tool handles, bows, and baseball bats. (As shown in Photo 1)

Dogwood ? Hard, dense wood, suitable for both arduous hikes through rugged terrain and casual strolls through picturesque walking trails. Dogwood has a dark, flaky bark with a pinkish and creamy white center.

Sassafras - Strong and relatively lightweight staff. When finished, the beautiful bark takes on an orange-red hue resulting in a walking aid that's both functional and attractive. (As shown in Photo 3)

Ironwood - It is common for ironwood sticks to have cracks, especially on the ends. These naturally formed cracks do not inhibit the stability of ironwood staffs in any way. Known as American Hornbeam...popular choice for those seeking an extremely strong stick coupled with a one-of-a-kind look and feel. Its bark resembles a deer antler and is naturally ridged.
